Two weeks ago I participated in the annual Bucktown Arts Fest here in Chicago. The weather was less than ideal, with a torrential downpour on Saturday and intense heat and humidity on Sunday. But sales were pretty good and it was easily my best show to date. My only complaint, other than feeling sweaty and gross the entire time, was that as a vendor I didn’t get a chance to shop! There were 200 vendors, plus food, live bands, and kids activities. All the booths were 10 x 10 which is a fairly big space, especially when you are selling small items like jewelry. The following are pictures of my booth. This time I tried out a new display for both my earrings and my rings. I was pretty happy with how things looked. If I do another show where I have a tent, I will probably bring fabric to hang on the walls where I display things vertically. A white vinyl tent does not make for a very pretty background.
Such beautiful pieces and very well displayed. The workmanship is outstanding.
Hi Heather. Think back to your teen years when you were calling me Mrs. Parker. Amy put me onto your website and blog. YOU are lookin’ good and so is your jewelry! I especially like the Domestic Goddess label. I’ve been giving Amy a few suggestions for displaying art. I used to do lots of arts and crafts fairs in Los Alamos – flowers and quilts.
Keep up the good work. Lynn
Thanks Lynn, I saw your quilts on Etsy, they are lovely!
